Privacy Policy — Ink Ninja

Effective date: September 8, 2026

Last updated: September 28, 2026

Application: Ink Ninja (com.tensorboat.solveninja) — Android

Introduction

Ink Ninja is a game developed and published by Neuron Quill for Android. This policy explains what the app does with your information.

The short version: the app shows advertising supplied by Google AdMob, and it transmits device identifiers to Unity Technologies for engine diagnostics. Your game progress — scores, unlocked stages, settings — never leaves your device. We operate no servers and hold no data about you ourselves.

By using Ink Ninja, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, discontinue use of the app.

1. Advertising

Ink Ninja displays occasional full-screen ads between completed rounds. These are served by Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK). No ads appear during play, and no ad is ever shown after your first round.

To select, deliver, and measure those ads, Google may collect or receive:

  • your IP address, from which an approximate location (such as country or region) can be inferred
  • device or account identifiers, including the Android Advertising ID (AAID) where available and permitted
  • app interactions — ad impressions, clicks, and video views
  • diagnostics and performance information

Google uses this for advertising, analytics and measurement, and fraud prevention, security, and compliance. It is transmitted over the internet to Google and handled under Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Google's own description of what the Mobile Ads SDK collects is published here.

We do not sell your data, and we receive no personal information from Google — only aggregate reporting such as how many ads were shown.

Your advertising choices

  • Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and certain US states), the app shows a consent form the first time it runs and gives you a Privacy Choices button in the in-game Dojo (settings) screen, where you can review or change your decision at any time. If you do not consent to personalised advertising, the game still works normally.
  • On any device, you can reset or delete your Android Advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.

2. Engine diagnostics

The app is built with the Unity game engine. Unity's engine diagnostics transmit the Android Advertising ID and App Set ID to Unity Technologies over HTTPS, for analytics such as app launches, device model, operating system version, and stability information.

We do not receive this data in any form that identifies you, and we do not combine it with anything else. Unity's handling of it is governed by the Unity Privacy Policy. There is no in-app setting to disable it.

3. Summary of data handling

All transmissions are made over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Beyond the above, the app contains:

  • no third-party analytics or crash-reporting service other than the Unity engine diagnostics described above
  • no user accounts, login, or sign-up
  • no in-app purchases
  • no collection of your name, email address, contacts, precise location, photos, or files

4. Data stored on your device

The app saves your game progress — such as high scores, unlocked stages, and your chosen language and audio settings — locally on your own device only. This data never leaves your device, is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and is permanently deleted when you uninstall the app.

5. Network access and permissions

The game itself is playable offline. Rounds, stages, scores, and settings all work with no connection. A connection is used only to fetch ads and to send the engine diagnostics described above; with no connection, the game simply continues without an ad.

PermissionWhy
INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATERequired to request ads and to transmit engine diagnostics.
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTION, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_TOPICSDeclared by the Google Mobile Ads SDK so it can read the Android Advertising ID and use Android's Privacy Sandbox advertising APIs for the purposes described above.

VIBRATEUsed only to produce haptic feedback on your device when you slice.

Ink Ninja does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, precise location, photos, files, phone identity, or any other sensitive permission.

6. Children's privacy

Ink Ninja is intended for players aged 13 and over. The app is not directed to children, is not enrolled in Google Play's Designed for Families programme, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app never asks any user for a name, age, email address, or other personal detail. Ad content is restricted to a maximum content rating suitable for a general audience.

7. Third parties

Two third parties receive data from Ink Ninja:

  • Google (Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK) — for the advertising described above.
  • Unity Technologies — for the engine diagnostics described above.

This data is not sold to data brokers.

8. Data retention and deletion

We operate no server and hold no data about you, so there is nothing on our side to retain or delete. Data received by Google and Unity is held under their own retention practices; we have no access to it and no way to identify which records belong to you. You can reset the Android Advertising ID at any time in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads, and where a consent form was shown you can withdraw consent through the Privacy Choices button in the Dojo screen.

For the data on your own device, you are in full control:

  • Uninstall the app — this permanently deletes all saved game data from your device.
  • Clear app data — go to Android Settings → Apps → Ink Ninja → Storage → Clear data to reset progress while keeping the app installed.

9. Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app changes what data it handles, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the Last updated date above will change.
