Privacy Policy — Dead Street

Effective date: August 15, 2026

Last updated: October 15, 2026

Application: Dead Street (com.tensorboat.deadstreet) — Android

Introduction

Dead Street is a single-player zombie survival game developed and published by Neuron Quill for Android.

The short version: the game shows advertising supplied by Google AdMob, and the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects device information to do that. Your game progress — levels, scores, gems, heroes and settings — never leaves your device. Neuron Quill operates no servers and holds no data about you.

By using Dead Street, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, discontinue use of the app.

1. Advertising

Dead Street is free and is supported by ads from Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK). Ads appear in two places only:

  • a full-screen ad, occasionally, when you leave the results screen after a night — never during play;
  • an optional rewarded ad you choose to watch from the GET GEMS button, in exchange for in-game gems.

To select, show and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and sends to Google:

  • your IP address, from which an approximate location can be derived;
  • device identifiers, including the Android Advertising ID (AAID) where available and permitted;
  • ad interactions — which ads were shown, viewed or tapped;
  • diagnostic information about the SDK's performance and crashes.

Google uses this for advertising, analytics and measurement, and fraud prevention, security, and compliance. The data is encrypted in transit. Google's handling of it is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Google's own disclosure of what the SDK collects is here.

Your advertising choices

  • In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, the game asks for your consent through Google's consent form before ads are personalised. You can change your choice at any time from Settings → PRIVACY CHOICES inside the game. If you decline personalised advertising, the game still works normally.
  • In US states with privacy laws, Google's opt-out message lets you opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for advertising.
  • On any device, you can reset or delete your Android Advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in Android Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Security & privacy → Privacy → Ads).
  • Rewarded ads are always optional. Nothing in the game requires watching one.

2. Information Neuron Quill collects

None.

Neuron Quill runs no servers, has no analytics or crash-reporting service, and receives nothing from the game. We do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos, files, precise location, or any account information — the game has no accounts and no sign-in. Unity's optional analytics, crash reporting, performance reporting and hardware-statistics upload are all disabled in the shipped build. The only data that leaves your device is what the Google Mobile Ads SDK sends to Google, described above.

3. Android permissions

The app declares exactly these permissions, and no others:

PermissionWhy
INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATERequired to request ads and to show the consent form. Nothing else in the game uses the network.
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_IDLets the Google Mobile Ads SDK read the Android Advertising ID for the purposes described below.

None of these show a permission prompt. The game is fully playable offline — without a connection it simply shows no ads.

4. Data stored on your device

The game saves your progress locally using Android's standard app-private storage (Unity PlayerPrefs, an XML file inside the app sandbox). This file is not readable by other apps, is never transmitted by the game, and is removed when you uninstall it.

Stored locallyWhat it is
Player nameA display name you type in, shown only on your own screen. Defaults to “SURVIVOR”.
ProgressionUnlocked levels, per-level completion, XP, gems, selected and owned heroes, upgrades, achievements
StatisticsBest score, kills, wins, games played, waves cleared, deaths and related gameplay counters
SettingsMusic volume, SFX volume, camera-shake toggle and amount
Daily run stateCurrent streak, last played day, best wave

Google's consent form also stores your consent choice on the device so it is not asked again. The player name is the only free-text field in the game; we recommend not entering personal information in it.

5. Android system backup

Android's Auto Backup may copy the game's local save file to your own Google Drive backup. That backup belongs to you, is stored under your own Google account, and is governed by Google's terms rather than ours. Neuron Quill has no access to it. You can turn Auto Backup off in Android Settings → Google → Backup.

6. Third parties

The only third party that receives data from Dead Street is:

  • Google (Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK and its User Messaging Platform) — for the advertising and consent described above.

The game has no in-app purchases. Gems are earned through gameplay and optional rewarded ads.

7. Data retention and deletion

Neuron Quill holds nothing about you, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Data sent to Google is retained under Google's policies; you can reset your Advertising ID at any time, which breaks the link between past ad data and your device. For game data on your device:

  • Uninstall the app — this permanently deletes all saved game data from your device.
  • Clear app data — go to Android Settings → Apps → Dead Street → Storage → Clear data to reset progress and consent choices while keeping the app installed.

8. Children's privacy

Dead Street contains stylised cartoon zombie violence and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The maximum content rating of ads in the game is limited by Neuron Quill in AdMob.

If you believe a child under 13 is using the app, you can turn off personalised ads and reset the Advertising ID as described in section 1, or contact us.

9. Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights of access, correction, deletion and portability over personal data held about you. Neuron Quill holds no personal data about Dead Street players. For data processed by Google for advertising, use the choices in section 1 or Google's own tools at My Ad Center.

Neuron Quill does not sell personal information. Sharing of device identifiers with Google for advertising may count as "sharing" under some US state laws; the opt-outs in section 1 cover it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Last updateddate at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, describe it in the app's release notes on Google Play. Continued use of Dead Street after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
